Our History

Specialty Cereals Pty Limited was founded in 1988 as a specialty miller of grains, pulses and legumes. The company was one of the first suppliers of oat bran to the food industry during the 1988-90 period of high demand.

In 1993, significant capital expenditure was committed to the construction of a sophisticated and state of the art processing and extrusion facility.

The facility was designed, engineered and commissioned “in-house”, and offers excellent flexibility.

Currently the company is focused on extrusion & packaging capabilities with the milling equipment having been sold.

During the period 1994-96, significant effort was spent in building partnerships with leading brand companies, focusing on their requirement for innovative and exciting new products.

Segments of the food industry included here are Ready to Eat (RTE) breakfast cereals, confectionery, convenience foods, extruded coatings and toppings and the recently evolving health orientated functional food arena.

Specialty Cereals uses the latest research and technology to produce innovative top-quality, cereals and snacks. The focus is on developing tasty, nutritious cereal based foods.
